Business Development Executive – Air Force Programs

Position Summary:

We expect 2020 to be another successful year for ARRAY, and to help achieve that objective we are seeking a talented individual to join our firm and lead the expansion of our portfolio of U.S. Air Force opportunities and programs. This individual can be located anywhere in the Eastern part of the U.S., however, we have a preference for the DC area, but open to discussion for the Dayton, St. Louis and Boston areas.

Reporting directly to the ARRAY Chief Growth Officer, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for creating and executing plans that maintain a healthy pipeline of... qualified opportunities while assisting in the capture, transition, and subsequent organic growth of targeted opportunities. Qualified candidates will have a successful track record in strategic account identification and management, business development, and delivery management focused on a wide range of Air Force information technology solutions and services. Additionally, we seek an individual with the leadership skills and business acumen to help us continue to strengthen our brand, culture, and success in the market.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Business Development and Account Management – Managing accounts in the Department of Defense (DoD) Sector, predominantly the U.S. Air Force, with direct responsibility for account strategy and opportunity targeting and tracking throughout the full business development life-cycle to provide compliant, state-of-the-market, sustainable, supportable, and interoperable IT service solutions worldwide
  • Capture Management – Providing capture management support for assigned opportunities and input into proposal and pricing activities. Establish and cultivate teaming relationships in pursuit of AF opportunities
  • Strategic Business Development Planning – Leading the ARRAY team through the market expansion process of identifying and qualifying additional U.S. Air Force markets (MAJCOMs) to drive growth of relevant ARRAY mission solutions


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten plus years of directly related experience including business development, sales, and capture management responsibilities in DoD IT solutions and services sector, predominantly within the U.S. Air Force
  • Track record of cultivating relationships with key U.S. Air Force decision makers
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal and deadline orientation
  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more if necessary
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance highly desired
  • Former Air Force service is desired, but not required
