SAIC is seeking a Senior Project Officer to support efforts at Fort Benning, GA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design and conduct of experiments with new equipment and emerging technologies and concepts. Candidate will serve as the System of System Enhanced Small Unit (SESU) overall program lead managing both the Live Prototype and Modeling and Simulations campaigns.Individual will be required to coordinate, plan, and execute experimentation projects from assignment through completion. Oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program. Serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external... agencies and provides day-to-day technical, professional guidance and leadership to Team members. Candidate will develop and write evaluation plans, prepare command briefings, prepare memorandum of agreements, cost estimates, and coordinate Soldier and logistical support for experiments. Individual will write and staff final reports providing insights and lessons learned based on an analysis plan. Candidate will ensure reports are accurate, timely, and are professionally prepared. The candidate is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and execution of ranges, ammunition, and other logistics requirements to support experimentation. Candidate will supervise team members' compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and provide quality control on all team products. In addition, candidate will supervise the experiment supporting efforts consisting of both government agencies and industry partners. Candidate will actively pursue possible new start programs, which support the Maneuver Battle Lab's mission.


Education and Experience:

BA/BS and 6 years of related experience (4 years of equivalent expreince accepted in lieu of degree)

CLEARANCE: Must possess and active SECRET clearance


  • Military experience at the Field Grade level.
  • Brigade and Battalion Task Force maneuver and staff experience (Battalion Operations Officer/Executive) or Joint Staff experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Combined Arms operations, doctrine, and training.
  • Must be an experienced writer with excellent communication and reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to compose, write and conduct analysis of events that support the experimentation program.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate independently.
  • Must be knowledgeable in current MDO doctrine, command and control systems and networks and weapons systems especially at Brigade and Battalion Task Force level.
  • Must be physically able to work in field environments, day or night, and under adverse conditions.


  • Former Battalion Commander or Brigade and Battalion staff experience.
  • Experience with Space and Electronic Warfare operations.
  • Experienced with the employment of Infantry and Armor weapons systems at Brigade level and below.
  • Familiar with Range Operations and range safety procedures
