About LeagueSide

LeagueSide is looking for a lead engineer that wants to make a social impact.

Our company enables brands including Panda Express, T-Mobile, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to sponsor the 10k youth sports leagues on our platform. This is a win-win where sponsors receive scalable grassroots marketing and youth sports leagues receive much-needed funding.

To date, we’ve given over 35k kids the opportunity to play sports!

The Product Team

Our product team is very product-focused and works closely with the business side and key stakeholders to define and build features. That means you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different users including Fortune 500 companies, youth sports volunteers, and our internal team.

  • Postgres/PostGIS
  • Testing: Cypress, Jest, Enzyme, RSpec
  • Heroku

The Role

We want an engineer that still loves writing code and making large architectural decisions in addition to mentoring and helping build a team. The balance between code and leadership duties will be 70/30.

Your role will include:

  • Developing a strong understanding of our product to decide when and where to make software compromises
  • Leading and engaging in design reviews, architectural discussions, requirement definitions and other technical activities in diverse capacity
  • Finding quick ways to prototype and test possible solutions to large problems
  • Coaching and mentoring other engineers
  • Determining process improvements, best practices, and developing new processes
