Principal Technical Solution Architect
The Principal Technical Solution Architect is responsible for the creation of technical multi-component solution designs, and partners with Enterprise and Technical Architects to identify and implement solutions that enable the business. The Principal Technical Solutions... Architect will lead with influence a project team(s) to ensure the technical success of a project. Primary expertise is in the evaluation and creation of multiple solution design options meeting complex project requirements and constraints.
Manage a team of 20-30 Technical Architects working on client implementations
Provide technical vision and direction
Coordinate resources across multiple client implementations
Work with various teams within Duck Creek to define roles and responsibilities
Work with base engineering team to help define opportunities for overall improvement in deployment and management of applications
Define and maintain best practices and associated tools to improve operational efficiency
Work with the Customer Service Managers to ensure conformance to DCOD processes and procedures
Create and document new standards as required to ensure repeatability and economy of scale
Manage infrastructure costs to align with budget and report on same
Research and recommend new technology where appropriate and required
Recommend and implement performance improvements to meet SLA's and increase overall efficiency
Manage environment dependencies with other OnDemand teams to ensure that these dependencies are met in timely and performant fashion
Work with Account Manager to measure and ensure compliance with monthly SLAs
Background in leading large technical initiatives and setting technical direction and vision
Experience managing large technical teams
Experience working with high-level client resources and managing service=oriented teams
Proven track record with large scale client implementations
Ability to clearly articulate and present technical solutions clients
Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are must
Deep Functional and Technical knowledge of the Duck Creek Suite and Platform
5+ years’ experience as a developer or architect on Duck Creek Suite and Platform
5+ years’ experience with Cloud Architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure
Deep experience with at least three of the following technologies: Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, IIS, Azure DevOps, Windows Server, Powershell and OctopusDeploy.
Background providing technical supporting for large scale production projects.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
