Job DescriptionAt UChicago Medicine, we are looking for a Senior Consultant, Workforce Development to support the execution of a community hiring and internal mobility strategy, specifically targeting our local and diverse populations and our engaged and committed front line employees. This role will implement actionable programs to build diverse talent pipelines and support the internal development of our front line workforce.This individual will need to have strong relationship skills to identify and ensure development of relationships with community partners, local educational institutions and professional organizations to increase our diverse talent pools. The Senior Consultant, Workforce Development role will develop toolkits and best practices to equip our talent acquisition team with resources to support a more inclusive recruitment process and increase diversity across internal and external hiring and promotion. This role also requires strong project management skills to... support the development of internal mobility strategy, including career pathway programs.* This position will have the flexibility to work from home as appropriate.Job Responsibilities:The Senior Consultant, Workforce Development will be responsible for the execution of a workforce strategy that aims to promote opportunities for our local, diverse and target talent populations, increase overall retention and employee engagement, and decrease time to fill for hard-to-fill or in-demand jobs at UChicago Medicine. Responsibilities include:* Identify and sustain relationships with key educational institutions and professional diversity-focused associations to develop diverse and student talent pools in order to support hard to fill positions and increase diversity hiring across gender, ethnicity, LGBTQ, people with disabilities, veterans and other types of diversity and support.* Lead planning and execution of diversity recruitment events and programs internally and externally and coordinate with community partners.* Conduct market research to understand where external diverse talent pools exist and work collaboratively with internal stakeholder, including UCMC leadership and specifically UCM's to explore initiatives to tap into those talent pools.* Work with diverse candidates to help drive through the recruiting process; and identify opportunities to enhance the candidate experience and the inclusivity of the recruiting process.* Leverage marketing and communication channels, including social platforms and online recruiting resources, to create and promote an inclusive environment and advance the brand and reputation of UChicago Medicine as an inclusive employer.* Develop toolkits and best practices to equip our talent acquisition team to increase diverse candidates in our pipelines.* Support the development of internal mobility strategy to promote the advancement of front line employees into in-demand jobs and career pathways.* Manage operational needs of current and future workforce development initiatives, which include but are not limited to planning and organizing activities related to clinical rotations, externships, internships, coordinating job shadowing, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, assisting in developing program guidelines and orientation schedules, job placement, coordinating of training, and planning and attending organized events.* Support preparation of any grants submissions for the creation of internal and external pipeline development programs* Partner in the development and maintenance of various external and internal recruiting strategy materials, which includes social media tactics, communication templates, educational materials, forms and reports.* Track and monitor community and internal hiring and promotion metrics throughout recruitment and employee lifecycle, and support HR reporting requests.* Report diversity metrics, analyze trends and adjust strategies/activities to improve results and meet organizational diversity workforce goals and objectives.QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree a plus* 5+ years of experience in a role requiring consultation and influence skills, within community engagement and/or recruiting* Prior experience with diversity recruiting* Prior experience in workforce development and training* Previous experience in end-to-end project management, including project planning, coordination, delivery, reporting and evaluation* Skilled with social media marketing and recruiting strategies;* Extremely detail-oriented and organized with the highest level of quality standards* Goal-driven with the ability to pro-actively take initiative* Comfortable working with minimal direction and comfortable with ambiguity* Strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills* Ability to quickly build trust-based relationships with candidates, colleagues and internal/external stakeholders* Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them, and carry them out independentlyWhy Join UsWe are #AtTheForefront.
