  • Lokai is seeking a UI Designer with experience in the ecommerce space to drive creative website design, email design, and improve user experience. We're looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating useful and innovative online retail shopping experiences.
  • The ideal candidate has broad experience in the areas of wireframing, UI design, information architecture, prototyping, and user research.
  • The ideal... candidate will be able to channel the core Lokai message of Balance into new and innovative designs.
  • Candidates must be entrepreneurially-minded, self-starters, team players, and demonstrate a passion for beautiful design coupled with operational excellence.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Own the iterative web design of major ecommerce features, as well as regular additions and extensions as new products, collections, pages and other content are added.
  • Own the iterative design of regular marketing emails (2-3 per week)
  • Own customer journey mapping and documentation as the site evolves
  • Participate in user research, identifying key pain points and strategies for solving customer problems
  • Participate in project planning and roadmap discussions
  • Collaborate with web management team on requirements and specifications
  • Partner closely with brand and creative teams to design exceptional customer experiences
  • Partner closely with development team to see designs through on all devices and touchpoints
  • Communicate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely, tailoring the content to the audience
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Leverage site analytics to identify opportunities to improve the site experience
  • Interpret business needs, objectives, and direction from multiple stakeholders and integrate feedback appropriately into the product experience


  • At least 3 - 4 years design experience with customer-facing sites
  • Proficiency using Sketch and Photoshop for design creation and clickable prototyping
  • Background in e-commerce and digital shopping experiences
  • Ability to take a project from ideation to completion
  • Knowledge of modern and emerging web and mobile UI patterns and design tools
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate on a cross-functional team
  • A great portfolio of work that demonstrates user experience and web design skills
